Congratulations
to Maverick & Alexa Dunavan, winners of the Love & Respect Valentine’s
Day Gift Basket!
We asked them to share a little bit about
themselves and how they learned about Love & Respect. Alexa writes:
“We were married in August 2008 and have 2
beautiful, amazing daughters, Fallon Ember(4 years old) and Aspen Lorelai (1
year old). Maverick got an amazing new
job in TN and we've been wanting to move for quite some time. He left at the
beginning of September to begin working, leaving me alone with our 2 girls to
sell our home, clean and pack our entire house all while working full time.
Amazingly, we sold our home without even listing it publicly. Then the final
offer on our old home was accepted the same day that our offer on a new home in
TN was accepted. It was a sign that everything was meant to be.
I wrote a hand written love letter to Maverick
almost every day we were apart (almost 3 months), and through our letters and
the distance, our bond was strengthened. Our love and adoration was renewed.
God did amazing things in our hearts even though the challenges of being away
from each other could have torn us apart. Our love for our daughters is just
one more affirmation of God's plan for our marriage.
Our pastor at our home church in Sturgis, SD
was the first to introduce us to the Love and Respect DVD series, and we both
were amazed at how down to earth, funny, relevant and honest the course and
discussions were. We are so delighted to have won! The Love and Respect
materials should be required reading and viewing for all couples, married or
not!”
